The kids did a great job today. The project was to plant some trees. We talked to them about the tropics being considered the lungs of the planet to many. What you might not have know is that actually the majority of the oxygen on our planet comes from plants in the ocean (plankton).
We still find it very important to teach the importance of trees and using it as a good example to protect our environment. Did you know 25% of Costa Rica is protected land.
Today we visit the a private reserve in the village are visiting and had the chance to name, tag, and then plant some trees with some organic fertilizer. It was a great experience and the kids got dirty.Cedaredge Rappel Costa Rica
